From New York Press: Vampire Weekend to Play Joe’s Pub

The Happy Ending Reading Series at Joe’s Pub is never just another night, but on May 6, the Amanda Stern-helmed event will be extra special: The musical guest for the evening will be Vampire Weekend. The night’s readers will include Wells Tower, John Wray and Arthur Phillips, and the series’ premise is that each author will read and take a risk on stage. The same idea translates to the band, which will play a few original tunes and also a cover. No word yet on whether the band has pulled it together to capture that Paul Simon Graceland sound that it’s been so scared to attempt.
