…sadly we’ve decided against. I was knocked out by the sharp, witty writing, the snappy dialogue, the inevitable Sex and the City comparisons. But after a while it all began to pall a little …The trouble is the author is almost TOO clever. All the characters speak with the same degree of sparkling wit, and as event follows event, you begin to believe in the characters less. Well, I did, anyway. Everyone else who read it here felt the same. Loved the beginning, and then became less convinced as they read on. But this author is a terrific talent and I wish her very well. I shall keep a close eye on this book, and I would love to read the next one if you don’t find a home for her in the UK, which I’m sure you will!
