I lived in the East Village for 10 years in the 20th Century. One of my friends was the documentary filmmaker, Richard Sandler (The Gods of Time Square). We used to walk around and he’d shoot footage of me making fun of all the gentrification. He made a documentary about the East Village and sent it to me. And guess what? I’m in it. I don’t even remember shooting this, but we walked into one of the new condos and I analyzed it and on the way back we stopped in front of the new Leshkos and I gave an impromptu monologue in an accent about the new menu.
