Happy Ending is taking a little summer hiatus from Joe’s Pub while our favorite venue gets its well-deserved makeover. We miss Joe’s and can’t wait to see how pretty it looks in the fall, but the show must go on, at least one more time before summer ends. So, in the spirit of risk-taking, Happy Ending is taking a road trip upstate to put on a star-studded show at
Bard’s SummerScape Arts Festival. Our amazing performers include authors
Paul LaFarge,
Rebecca Wolff, and
Mary Caponegro, with musical guest
Cynthia Hopkins, who will be taking the stage at the Fisher Center, smack in the middle of Bard’s idyllic campus in the magically named town, Annandale-on-Hudson.

Getting there is a cinch, and weren’t you already hoping for an excuse to take one last excursion into nature before summer ends? Snag a Metro North train to Poughkeepsie and take a taxi (there are plenty), or opt for an Amtrak train to Rhinecliff, which is a bit closer to campus. Or, get a group together and rent a car or check out a ZipCar, and come say hello! Tickets are $25, and are available here.
