Joyeux quatorze juillet! That’s French for Happy 14th of July, aka Bastille Day, the fanciest day of the year. It’s the French holiday that marks the anniversaire of the storming of the Bastille, and we suggest you celebrate with champagne, chocolate and brie, and by rustling up a pick-up game of petanque, the French version of bocce, which is played on sand instead of grass.
