I’m terribly sad to report that Daniel Robert Epstein passed away at the age of 31. The cause of death is unknown at the moment. I did not know him well, but he was a lovely person. We met over the phone in 2003 when he interviewed me for Suicide Girls. We did a Suicide Girls night at Happy Ending, which was a great success. Neil Swaab and Tony Fletcher agreed to be interviewed onstage by DRE. He contributed more to the literary community than I can even enumerate off-hand. He will be greatly missed. My condolences to his wife, Andrea.
