Cabaret Cinema at the Rubin: Harold and Maude

When I saw that this event was part of a series called Cabaret Cinema I thought it was going to be like those Rocky Horror midnight shows you went to when you were 16 in Awkwardsville, PA, but with Harold and Maude showing and Jonathan Caouette acting as master of ceremonies Cat Stevens. Looks like it’s going to be more of a movie screening sans callbacks, merely INTRODUCED by hers alum Jonathan Caouette, but I mean, that’s still pretty great (as is he) and it’s freeeee.

Jonathan’s presenting the film tomorrow (June 11th) at the Rubin Museum at 9:30 pm sharp, which is perfect because it’ll let out at 11 on a Friday night and boy does that movie make me want to parteeeee.*
