Joe’s Pub (he draws cartoons of performers during the shows), plays in the band,
Balthrop, Alabama and is one of Al Hirschfeld’s favorite cartoonists:

Al Hirschfeld, has outdone himself. At Grape and Grain on Friday night (or was it Saturday?) he showed me a breathtaking video he drew and had animated, that is now up on the
New York Times Opinionator Blog. It’s called,
Brooklyn Bridge Song and you’re dead inside if you don’t love it!
